Four identical columns are topped by floating cubes. As in his previous work, Carnaille uses magnets, which hold the cubes a few centimeters above the columns. The idea of uniformity is underscored by the juxtaposed, similar columns that each develops a special dialogue with a unique, three-dimensional composition suspended on the wall.
For the artist, each of these frames is a mental representation of the column to which it is associated. In other words, it symbolises its individuality and singularity. The viewer is at first seized by the effect of mass and repetition that gradually dissipates as one begins to interpret the compositions on the wall.

INTROSPECTION
Introspection encapsulates up the founding notions of Quentin Carnaille’s creative philosophy, with a nod to the conceptual. In this work, the artist has constructed an installation that operates as a system based on a dialogue between its different parts.
